BREAKING NEWS: The MIDNIGHT SERENADERS new CD "Magnolia" has arrived. The CD is available at CDbaby. We'd love for you to purchase one. Thanks!!!

The MIDNIGHT SERENADERS perform vintage small orchestra music from the 1920's and 30's, unearthing and reinterpreting many long-forgotten songs from the early 20th century. The repertoire consists of Tin Pan Alley jazz and blues flavored pop songs, crooning ballads, dance numbers, as well as sweet Hawaiian instrumentals. The music is reminiscent of the music heard in the smoky speakeasies of the 1920’s.

The MIDNIGHT SERENADERS bring together six accomplished musicians who have, over the past decade and in other musical genres, made their mark on the Portland music scene. Featured are DOUG SAMMONS - guitar & vocals, HENRY BOGDAN - Hawaiian steel guitar, DEE SETTLEMIER - vocals & ukulele, PETE LAMPE - upright bass, GARNER PRUITT - trumpet, and DAVID EVANS - clarinet & saxophone.

"The minute the Midnight Serenaders take the stage in their vintage suits and dresses, you know you are in for a treat! Tuneful playing and sensational singing take you on a toe-tapping trip right back to the 1920's & 30's."
…says Miz Kitty of Miz Kitty’s Parlour Vaudeville Show:

"...the Midnight Serenaders, a lively sextet that looks like it just stepped out of the 1930's, and whose music is a beguiling, genre-defying blend of music from the early 20th century."
...says the Portland Tribune:

"It's love at first set with this newfangled, old-fashioned ensemble."
...says the Willamette Week:
